Learning "cl" words

Today we learnt the "cl" sound and we played a game with Miss Penny and Miss Kirsty to practice.

More teeth brushing!

Miss Nat and Miss Jossy, the school dentists visited today to show us how to brush our teeth thoroughly.

This morning we used matchsticks as emus and paper as paddocks. We shared emus into two paddocks and recorded the corresponding number sentences. Then we discussed some inverse relationships.

Check In!

We sit in a circle each morning and each say how we are feeling. Today Miss Kirsty recorded our responses to make a book. In the book we will see which students spoke in Standard Austraoian English and which students spoke in Aboriginal English

This afternoon we began to learn about how to use a think board with the number 10.

This term were learning about staying alive. Today we met our pet and named her Rosey. We discussed what we need to stay alive.

Performing arts!

We went to Miss Stueys again today and as you can see we had a great time singing.

Every morning we use jolly phonics to practice our sounds. Here we are with Miss Jenny practicing.

How old are you?

After

lunch today we got in order from youngest to oldest. Then we used photos of ourselves to put on a chart which says 5, 6 or 7 years old. 

News telling and Writing.

Each Monday and Tuesday our class listen to people telling news and then we draw a picture and write a sentence about what they said. When we tell news we make sure we say what happened, where it happened, when it happened, who was there and why you did it.

Kitchen Garden

Every Monday we work with Miss Amy and Mr Fred in the garden. Here we are planting seeds and then we went to collect eggs from the chook pen.
